Depual university Oct 29, 2004

A nice ensemble of bands took over Mcgraw hall, at Chicago's east campus of Depual. I got there late, and missed a ton of bands, but my six dollars was still well spent, as I witnessed, all the way from FINLAND, the spazztastic troll twins of Hero Dishonest, as they crunched out some mathy type crust while having big type hobbit feet. It was ubiquitous to watch and very Finish.
Wolf and Cub rise from the ashes of La Mantra De Lafiqria, a very mathy rock band from Chicago. Wolf and Cub turns off route from the boring hum drum of Chicago math core, while retaining a few of its vices. They have only one singer, and it trades the math crap for physics, yes. the science of HEAVY-MATTER.More chug riffs with hopped-up Iron Maiden melodies, so its gets an almost black metal feel, with a Pelican influence. For fans of He who Corrupts. They are just getting started, and I see a good future ahead of them.... If they would just get more heavy. And they dressed up like He Who Corrupts too. They must be in love with those guys!
Pretty heavy, and they blasted a great tune about Riding upon boners. This is total sound pollution crust. Much as the joy of testicle churning. Uncurbed

This band came all the way from Sweden to have all their merch stolen in Chicago. Great shame on the loathsome maggot that be fowled this night by stealing from the poor. Uncurbed used this outrage to fuel a rumpus execution of fast paced crust that made many feet fly upwards.

He who Corrupts took the lack of a stage in a familiar fashion, by getting naked and sweaty and teaching me about how to reach financial independence in an industrious and fast paced manner. It was a high enlightenment, with siamese twins moshing, and lots and lots of pro-gear rack mounted pre-amps and pedals rocking out pre-recorded samples and keenly modified pick-up responses. Very chug-a-luggable. I gain a sense of self worth every time I see, what has become a Chicago institution, the men in women's underwear of:
Hewhocorrupts Inc.
