 Village plays an awesome down tune chunky blues type sludge. Some what like old Isis, with allot of Cavity, and Acid bath. This band is going places. |

| It is long overdue that I write this revue. I took a ride to Ohio to the FISTULA house to partake in their annual festival. Usually a bunch of bands load up the homemade stage, equipped with large painted pentagram, and proper crops, and a bunch of the local boys camp out to ingest Sludge. However, It was storming with Tornado threats, so sadly, scheduled bands like Soulpreacher and Deadbird didn't show. Some great bands did show however, like VILLAGE OF DEAD ROADS from Erie Pennsylvania. And damn if they didn't start the night out right. I highly recommend checking them out! |

RUE tore it up as always! At times, fast paced with the bass player from Fistula pounding out the buzzing rhythm, with curdling vocals that ride like a wagon ride to hell with Burns at the reigns with his crunchy southern tube guitar sound, whipping and driving straight into a huge canyon of sludgy head banging breakdowns that never fail to suck you in to your crushing death. The ambitious determination of this band will keep them alive and progressive for a while, I predict only by way of a re scent demo that I was sent. Containing some of the sickest Rue material yet. SLOW, DESPARAGING, LOUD, with killer build-ups and unsettling lyrics. I am also told that the finished product will be ten times better, so I am really excited to hear what comes next! |

ULTRALORD is straight from the old school of crusty thrashy metal. Containing Scott Sterns, sick artist who does most of the stuff on Shifty records, Bahb and Corey from Fistula, and Andy from the planet SATAN. INSANE! EVIL! CRUSTY AS HELL! Unapologetic and Uncompromising. This band just put out a record called "We hate you and Hope you die" which you will never ever in your entire puss factory, virus filled life be able to conceive a sufficient excuse of why you should not buy this album right fucking now! It is so good, and a great way to split your eardrums. Jason Corley from -(16)- Flew out from California to Jam with Ultralord as they covered "Fucked for Life".They are now working on a new project together called SCUMCRIST and the final mastering is being done by Billy anderson and will be released soon by HERETIC PRODUCTIONS. IT IS VERY VILE! |

Negative Reaction also played, and they were drunk. However, not nearly as much so as I. I win! So even though Fistula broke up, and the end of the night contained lots of shouting and gun shots ,madness and puke, I still call it a succesful Fistula fest.
