Salt of the Earth Rules, 3-9-4 they played the Blue Note in Chicago with INDIAN and Gates of Slumber and Earthride.

Salt kicked the night off with a crushing sound check that eventually kicked off the whole show. Hailing from Indianapolis, I believe, Salt comes straight from the "Holy Mountain" and delivers a crushing, riffaholic, Black Sabbath routed set that gets stuck in your head like much that oozes out your ears at awkward moments and horrifies those around you. New to the scene, with only a couple demo recordings, Rick the guitarist/Vox man tells me that they started the band just for an excuse to get into shows for free. It works out to benefit everyone. Fans of Sleep should not ignore, should not overlook, should seek and find the SALT!

Also Attending was another Indiana band,
GatesOf Slumber

I wasn't sure what to think at first, but after a while it sank in, and god damn, I was into it. Totally Ultra-Vitus. They started off slow, then toned it down to real slow. After a while they finally slowed down and eventually got to the slow stuff. Right when I thought they were done, they busted out and Slowed it down a bit more!!! It was so slow. And Heavy. LISTEN to this kick arse schmidt!!!It is so Vitus eats Sabbath, its ridiculous.

Also attending was the Mighty INDIAN, who kicked ass, and I don't have pictures of. And everyone knows how rock and roll Earthride is.
