Hope and Suicide, Chicago 6-9-4


This is ex-members of the mighty Bloodlet who just took this same stage a few short months before, with Bongzilla. After years of awesome music, Hope and Suicide rises from the Bloodlet ashes. I didn't even know this when I went to Stoner Rock night at the Note. I soon realized from the singers voice, that, wow, this sounds like fucking Bloodlet, but these aren't the dudes from Bloodlet...After a few songs, I realized that it was the same singer minus the dreads. They were playing with Esoteric, who are x-coalesce...Its too bad about those guys.
H+S is some great southern hardcore, kinda mathy, but sludgy. It is infact totally kick ass. Especially if you dig "Seraphim Fall"and old Bloodlet. I hope they come through again so I can be prepared with a camera. A+
